There's a glimmer of light at the end of my tunnel

After so many applications,in person, on line and faxed, and so many interviews where you can tell by the questions that they think I'm just too old; tonight I finally saw a glimmer of hope at the end of a long tunnel!

I just got off the phone with the School District that I applied to for teaching Night School and it looks like I just might be teaching a Beginning Knitting class there on Tuesday nights this coming fall. The woman said that she is just going to check a few references and that there has to be enough people who sign up for the course for them to be able to validate having the class.

Yeah, I know that there may not be a lot of people who want to take a Beginning Knitting course, but then again there just might!

So, EVERYONE...PLEASE keep your fingers crossed and your prayers going so that I just might be able to do this.

When I was young I wanted to be a teacher but school was expensive and I had to pay for it myself so this is my 2ND chance, my "other door" so to speak. I know that I can do this, I just need the opportunity to be able to prove myself!

So, Pray, Pray and Pray some more so that GOD will grant me this hearts desire of mine.

New York Giants

Well even though it's baseball season, Henry, who's incharge of St Joe's CYO, didn't want a baseball cut out, he wanted his favorite team, the New York Giants. So I did the best that I could with the few good pictures that I could find. I just hope that he likes it.

Happy Easter...She's FINALLY Here!

Well, for some reason I had April 11 as the day that Scott's niece would have her baby and sure enough she went into labor on Saturday April 11th, but she didn't have this precious little bundle of love until Easter Sunday, April 12th! So I present to you Miss Lovell the newest member of our family. Now if her parents would just pick out a name so that we have something to call her besides baby girl.

Another Mets Cutting

Nadine asked for a Mets cutting for her nephew and since I don't like to make exactly the same cutting I did one in their "away" color, black! After trying several times to cut the bridge out with no sucess, I had Scott draw the bridge in on this one.

I hope that Nadine's nephew likes it and gives his Aunt Nadine a really big hug!

Me at almost 50

Well just incase anyone was wondering...NO I HAVE NOT AGED WELL!

But you know what...I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ALL THINK BECAUSE I AM THE ONE WHO HAS TO LOOK AT ME IN THE MIRROR!

Besides, I am a firm beliver that you must get past the packaging to see what is really inside...ME!

I can't believe that I'll be 50 in September, especially since I look like I'm 90! But Scott still loves me, Dennis and Scotty haven't forced me into Grandmotherhood, I've got my best friend Vicky as well as all my other friends, and my Mom and my best guy friend David are both still alive! So seriously, besides my needing a job and a car, to replace the one that the drunk destroyed when he hit Scotty last year, I think that I'm doing okay!!!

Ha, I just took a good look at the picture and you can see me in the family picture from 16 or 18 years ago, I was a bit thinner in the face then!
